[About]

Many have seen the great culmination of sentimental objects, flags, and letters laid at the foot of a monument or memorial dedicated to one or more service members. In light of this, the culmination of the objects presented in this piece, ‘Traditional Memorial’, are a dedication to that, and everything the show stands for.

There is something a little more “homey” or sentimental about rendering one’s own memorial for somebody. The time and effort put into planning, acquiring, and setting one up shows an individual how much more you care. Additionally, objects presented and set are more “personal” or carry memories. While the same may or may not be said for monuments and other memorials, the concept alone presents more ties and connections in a heartfelt move to make the “non-traditional” traditional.
