[About]

The first word that came to mind as I toiled away to make this, was not ‘Pain’; but, in fact, anguish. Yet, there was something about the pain, the usage of torn fabric that tore one up in the representation of stripes and bandages. The melancholy colors, and the way they flow across the surface, much like the fabric. That’s what I want people to notice, but in subtleness; almost as if this emotion is hidden. The effects of war, what are they? We think about them and the heavy weight carried, but we don’t think about how it affects each individual, how it produces this immense agony and drifting.
